Kochi Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. It was opened to the public within four years of starting construction, making it the fastest completed metro project in India until the Lucknow Metro overtook it. The Kochi metro project is the first metro in the country which connects rail, road and water transport facilities.

Kochi Metro was lauded for its decision to employ Kudumbashree workers and also members of the transgender community. It is the world’s first rapid transit system whose entire management operations are handled by women. The system is also involved in sustainable initiatives with the introduction of non-motorized transport corridors in the city, installation of solar panels for power and vertical garden on every sixth metro pillar. Apart from the regular tickets, it has also adopted a single card, single timetable and a singular command and control.

Positions :- Manager & Trainee

Job Location :- Kochi

Salary :-

• Fleet Manager (Operations) : Rs 1,00,000/-
• Fleet Manager (Maintenance) : Rs 1,00,000/-
• Manager (Finance) : Rs 50,000/-
• Boat Operations – Trainee : Rs 9,000/-

Qualification :-

Fleet Manager (Operations) :

• Degree/Diploma in engineering in Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronics.
• MEO Class 1 or Master Certificate (FG).
• Experience : 12 Years’ Experience. (after acquiring Degree/Diploma).
• Preferably on board ship experience as Master/Chief Engineer.

Fleet Manager (Maintenance) :

• Degree/ Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Naval Architecture.
• MEO Class 1 or Master Certificate (FG).
• Experience : Minimum 12 years (after acquiring Degree/Diploma) of shipyard experience or Operation & Maintenance experience on Board Ships.

Manager (Finance) :

• CA/ICWA.
• Experience : Minimum 5 Years experience in Finance/Accounts.
• Cost & Budgetary Control, Working Capital Management etc. in Public Sector Undertakings or in large and reputed private companies.
• Training experience will not be counted.

Boat Operations – Trainee :

• Minimum 60% marks in ITI / Diploma in (Electrical/Mechanical/ Electronics).
• Last 3 years pass out only (ie, 2020 ,2021,2022).

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2023) :- 

• Fleet Manager (Operations) :  56 Years
• Fleet Manager (Maintenance) : 56 Years
• Manager (Finance) : 50 Years
• Boat Operations – Trainee : 28 Years

Note : Age limit may be relaxed for experienced, outstanding and exceptionally deserving candidates and will be the sole discretion of the Management.

Selection Process :-

• The selection process includes Test / Interview.
