As is known, apart from being an indispensable item of food, salt is an important raw material for the manufacture of several heavy chemicals e.g. soda ash, caustic soda and chlorine. Besides, salt is used in food processing industries, such as fish curing, meat packing, dairy products and fruit and vegetable canning.

- Fitter/Electrician/Carpenter/Plumber/Instrument Mechanic/Refrigeration & Air Conditioning/Draughtsman/Electronic Mechanic/COPA /Turner/Welder/Machinist: ITI Pass in concerned Trade from a recognised university.
- Mechanical Engineering: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
- Civil Engineering: Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
- Electrical Engineering: Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university.
- Mechanical Engineering: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
