Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), the first integrated steel plant in the public sector in India, was set up with German collaboration with an installed capacity of 1 million tonnes. Subsequently, its capacity was enhanced to 2 million tonnes of hot metal, 1.9 million tonnes of crude steel and 1.67 million tonnes of saleable steel.

After implementing a massive modernisation and expansion, Rourkela Steel Plant has enhanced its capacity to 4.5 million tonnes of Hot Metal and 4.2 Million Tonnes of Crude Steel.

Stipend :- Rs. 7,000 – 7,700/- pm

Qualification :- 

• ITI Pass in Relevant Discipline.

• Machinist: 20 posts
• Welder: 50 posts
• Computer/ICTSM: 31 Posts
• RAC: 30
• Mechanic Motor Vehicle: 04 Posts
• Plumber: 08 Posts
• Draftsman (Civil): 13 Posts

Age Limit (as on 01.03.2024) :-

• Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
• Maximum Age Limit for: 28 Years
• Age relaxation is Applicable as per rules.

Selection Process :- 

• The candidates will be selected on the basis of their marks obtained during ITI, in the specified category & trade.
• In case there is a tie between the applicants in their aggregate marks, the candidate who is older in age will be preferred.
