Qualification :-

Engine Driver :

• Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or Equivalent.

Sarang Lascar :

• Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or Equivalent.

Store Keeper Grade II :

• 12th pass from recognized Board or University. One year experience in handling Stores from any recognized firm or Central or State Government organization , or Public Sector Undertakings.

Civilian Motor Transport Driver (OG) :

• 10th Standard pass. Must possess valid driving license for both heavy and light motor vehicles. Should have atleast two years’ experience in driving motor vehicles. Knowledge of motor mechanism (should be able to repair minor defects in vehicles)

Fireman :

• Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or equivalent. Should be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties.

ICE Fitter (Skilled) :

• Matriculation or equivalent. Should have successfully completed apprenticeship from a recognized / reputed workshop in the relevant trade under Apprentice Act 1961 or under any other recognized Apprentice Scheme. OR Should have completed training course in the relevant trade from an III recognized for this purpose and have 1-year trade experience OR 4 years’ experience in the trade for which no training is available in them or other recognized institutions. Should qualify a trade entrance examination.

Spray Painter :

• Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognized boards.

MT Fitter/ MT Tech/ MT Mech :

• Matriculation or equivalent. Two years’ experience in automobile workshop.

Multi Tasking Staff (Mali) :

• Matriculation or equivalent pass. Two years’ experience as Mali in any nursery / organisation.

Multi Tasking Staff (Peon) :

• Matriculation or equivalent pass. Two years’ experience as Office Attendant.

Multi Tasking Staff (Daftary) :

• Matriculation or equivalent pass. Two years’ experience as Office Attendant.

Multi Tasking Staff (Sweeper) :

• Matriculation or equivalent pass. Two years’ experience in deanship in any recognized firm.

Selection Process For Indian Coast Guard Recruitment :-

• The selection of candidates will be based only on the merit in written examination. However, the skill / physical tests wherever required will be conducted, but will only be qualifying in nature with no bearing on the overall merit. Exact date, time and venue of written examination, skill / practical test will be communicated vide call letter issued to the short listed candidates.

Written test :

• Written test is to be conducted for Group ‘C’ and upgraded Group ‘C’ posts. The qualifying marks in written exam is 50% and the candidates who qualify the written test are to be shortlisted for the trade test (where applicable). In case of SC and ST candidates, the qualifying marks shall be 45%. No relaxation in qualifying marks is admissible to OBC and EWS candidates.

Trade / Skill Test :

• Trade/skill tests are devised to check the performance / aptitude of a candidate for the said trade. Separate skill tests are to be administered for each trade. The candidates who qualify the written test are to appear for the trade/skill test. The trade/skill test wherever required will only be qualifying in nature and shall have no bearing on the overall merit.
