Fluid Control Research Institute has been established by the Government of India. It was started as a project in 1984 with techno-commercial inputs from UNDP/UNIDO and was dedicated to the Nation in 1989 by the President of India Shri. R. Venkataraman. It is one of the best Research and Calibration/Test Laboratories around the world and a center of excellence in flow measurement.

Salary :-
- Graduate Engineer Trainee: Rs. 21,000/-
- Diploma Engineer Trainee: Rs. 18,000/-
- Graduate Engineer: Rs. 23,000/-
- ITI Technician Trainee: Rs. 13,000/-
- ITI Technician: Rs. 16,500 – 18,500/-
- Graduate Executive Trainee: Rs. 9,500/-
- Graduate Engineering Apprentice: Rs. 9,000/-
- Diploma Engineering Apprentice: Rs. 8,000/-
- Graduate Apprentice: Rs. 9,000/-
- ITI Apprentice: Rs. 7,000/-
Qualification :-
Graduate Engineer Trainee:
- B.Tech Instrumentation Engg/ Mechanical Engg.
- Experience: 1 year
Diploma Engineer Trainee:
- Diploma Instrumentation /Diploma Mechanical
- Experience: 1 year
Graduate Engineer:
- B.Tech Instrumentation Engg/ Electronics Electrical Engineering
- Experience: 3 years
ITI Technician Trainee/ITI Technician:
- Mechanic Refrigeration &AC (MRAC)
- Experience: 1 – 5 years
Graduate Executive Trainee:
- Graduate in any discipline
- Experience: 0 – 1 year
Graduate Engineering Apprentice:
- B.E/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engg/Mechanical Engg/Civil Engg
Diploma Engineering Apprentice:
- Diploma in Instrumentation Engg/Mechanical Engg/Electrical Engg
Graduate Apprentice:
- Any 3 year degree (non – engineering)
ITI Apprentice:
- Refrigeration & AC (MRAC)/ Fitter / Welder / Plumber/ Carpenter / wireman /electrician / Computer
operator & programming assistant (COPA) /Secretarial Assistant or Stenographer

Duration of the Training :-
- ONE YEAR and based evaluation of his/her performance, the tenure is extendable by ONE year at a time (for upto maximum 3 year period).
Age Limit (as on 21 March 2024) :-

- Diploma Engineer Trainee: 25 years
- Graduate Engineer: 28 years
- ITI Technician Trainee: 24 years
- ITI Technician: 26 – 28 years

Selection Process :-
- The selection process is based on an Test and Interview.
- Mere possession of minimum qualification / experience will not entitle any candidate to be called for Test / Interview.
