NLC is a Navaratna Government of India Enterprise. It is founded in 1956 and it was inaugurated by the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. It is the fossil fuel mining sector in India and thermal power generation. It manually produces about 30 million tonne lignite from opencast mines at Neyveli. This lignite is used in the pithead thermal power station to produce electricity.

Salary :-
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Rs.38,000 per month
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Rs.38,000 per month
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): Rs.38,000 per month
- Industrial Worker (Draughtsman): Rs.30,000 per month
- Industrial Worker (Electrician): Rs.30,000 per month
- Industrial Worker (Fitter): Rs.30,000 per month
- Industrial Worker (Mechanic): Rs.30,000 per month
- Industrial Worker (Wireman): Rs.30,000 per month
- Clerical Assistant: Rs.30,000 per month
Qualification :-
Junior Engineer (Civil):
- A Pass in Full Time / Part Time Diploma of minimum 3 years duration in Civil / Civil & Structural Engineering
Junior Engineer (Mechanical):
- A Pass in Full Time / Part Time Diploma of minimum 3 years duration in Mechanical Engineering
Junior Engineer (Electrical):
- A Pass in Full Time / Part Time Diploma of minimum 3 years duration in Electrical Engineering
Industrial Worker (Draughtsman):
- 12th Std pass with ITI (Draughtsman)
Industrial Worker (Electrician):
- 12th Std pass with ITI (Electrician)
Industrial Worker (Fitter):
- 12th Std pass with ITI (Fitter)
Industrial Worker (Mechanic):
- 12th Std pass with ITI (Mechanic – Motor Vehicle)
Industrial Worker (Wireman):
- 12th Std pass with ITI (Wireman)
Clerical Assistant:
