Selection Process :-
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification applicable to the respective trade. Selection Process Power Grid Recruitment :-
- The selection process will be based on only Written Test/Computer Based Test shall be conducted.
- Type of Written Test : The Written Test shall be of Objective type (each question shall have four options) of two hours duration consisting of two parts – Part-I consists of Technical Knowledge Test/Professional Knowledge Test (TKT/PKT) with 120 questions having specific questions from respective discipline.
- Part-II consists of Aptitude Test (AT) with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency & interpretation, numerical ability etc.
- All questions would be MCQ type with 4 options and carry equal weightage (1 mark each). Wrong & multiple answers would result in negative marks of ¼. Candidates shall have the option for appearing in the Written Test in Hindi or English.
Qualifying % in Interview :-
- Unreserved Category including EWS : 40%
- Reserved: 30%

Selection Process Power Grid Recruitment 2021 :-
For Field Engineer :
- Selection will involve Interview only, of the eligible and shortlisted candidates.
- Screening test, if conducted, shall be for elimination purpose only and will not have any weightage in final merit. Screening test, if conducted shall be of 1 hr duration for 75 marks (in two parts. Part-1: 50 questions on
relevant discipline and Part-2: 25 questions on Aptitude). There will not be any negative marking. - Candidates who qualify in test will be shortlisted and called for interview based on their performance in screening test. The merit will be drawn purely on the basis of performance in the Interview.
For Field Supervisor :
- Selections shall be made on the basis of scrutiny of applications w.r.t. eligibility criteria and desired experience profile and written test of the candidates found eligible after scrutiny.
- Candidates qualifying in the written test shall be empanelled in the order of merit of marks obtained in written test.
- The scheme of the test would be as follows: The test would be of 1 hour duration Sections and Number of questions:
- Technical Knowledge Test – 50 questions based on Diploma syllabus in the relevant discipline and Aptitude Test – 25 questions based on Logical reasoning, data interpretation, comprehension, vocabulary, data sufficiency and numerical ability
- All questions would be MCQ type with 4 options and carry equal weightage (1 mark each) and there shall be no negative marking.
