Indian Institute of Chemical Biology is a biomedical research centre in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Established in 1935 as Indian Institute of Experimental Medicine, it was inducted under the aegis of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research in 1956 and renamed to its present form in 1982.

Salary :-
- Technical Assistant: Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400 (Pay Level – 6)
- Technician (1): Rs. 19,900 – 63,200 (Pay Level – 2)
Qualification :-
- Technical Assistant: Degree / Diploma in relevant trade.
- Technician: Matriculation (10th) passed with 55% marks + Certificate from ITI in relevant trade.
Total Vacancies :-
- Technical Assistant: 15 Posts
- Technician: 06 Posts
Age Limit (as on 31 March 2025): 18 to 28 Years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC-NCL: 3 years
- PwBD (Unreserved) (40% or more disability): 10 years
- PwBD (SC/ST) (40% or more disability): 15 years
- PwBD (OBC) (40% or more disability): 13 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deducting actual military service rendered
- Departmental Candidate (CSIR Council employee) / Govt. Departments / Autonomous Bodies / PSUs: 5 years
- Any Other Category: No age relaxation
Selection Process :-
- Screened candidates will be called for Trade Test and those who qualify in the trade test will be called for a competitive written examination.
- For these posts, there will be three papers (Paper-I, Paper-II & Paper-III).
- Paper-II & III will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to be determined by the Selection Committee) in Paper-I
- The Final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-II & Paper III.

- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities/Women/Ex-Servicemen are exempted from submission of application fee
